Bloodsport Mentos

Ok, this is one of my favorites. Some genius out on the internet decided it was a good idea to make scenes from the film "Bloodsport" into a parody of a Mentos commercial. I never get tired of this.

Abe Lincoln

I know, I'm on a crazy video kick, but who doesn't like crazy videos? This one is from The Whitest Kids You Know, a New York City based comedy troupe. They currently have a show on IFC (Independent Film Channel), and you can see their show free online at IFC.com. So, here's the video: What Really Happened to Abe Lincoln

Old Gregg

Here's another weird video. This one is from The Mighty Boosh, a British television program, from the episode "The Legend of Old Gregg." There's really nothing to say about this, except that it's very strange.

Evil Floating Head

I just randomly ran into this today. It's a crazy video. Watch it. Not much to say about that.

Evil Floating Head

Unsurprisingly, a little investigation quickly led to Waverly Films, the creator of this and many other crazy videos.

Michael Gum

Michael Gum is a talented nerd musician. I say nerd musician not because I know much of anything about him, but because he covers video game songs on his guitar. This clearly makes him a nerd. Here's his Livejournal. All of the tindeck music links work, but thrownwood has gone down the tubes, so don't bother clicking on those. Some of the missing video game tracks can be found on his Myspace Music page.

Demotivational Posters

We've all seen those motivational posters with the inspiring picture and the cheesy motivational phrase. I'm sure you've all seen demotivators as well, spoofs on these motivational pictures featuring snarky phrases. You've probably also seen home made demotivators on the internet. Now there's a place where you can check out more demotivators than your body has room for.

You'll Shit Bricks

I know, it's an odd name. It comes from a type of demotivator created for the internet which features a picture with something hidden in it (or nothing hidden just to mess with you), and the phrase "When you see it, you'll shit bricks." The website features many types of demotivators, it just takes its name from that type.

Not all of these are safe for work. Fortunately, they are split up, so you can choose to look at safe or unsafe.

The Last Stand

The Last Stand is a cool zombie base defense flash game. It was made by Con Artists Productions, and released through Armor Games. It's very much like other base defense games in terms of the basics, but several things distinguish it from others.

Instead of money or whatever to improve your base, you have a certain number of daylight hours each day to distribute between repairing the wall, searching for survivors, and searching for better weapons. More survivors allow you to get more done with your hours, and at night they help you fight off the zombies. Unfortunately, sometimes your survivors don't... well... survive the search parties.

Another distinction is that the graphics and animation are rather good. Many base defense games use very basic graphics, but these actually have a polish on them.

Make sure you click on the diary each day when you're choosing weapons. It adds some flavor to the game.

Also, I just noticed that Last Stand 2 has come out. I'm going to have to play that...
